Michael is an experienced editor working across broadcast infotainment, corporate productions and drama.
His short films have been selected for numerous festivals and have confronted and polarized, but also engaged and entertained audiences. His interest lies primarily in exploring perceptions of reality through character studies, creating worlds, a strong sense of mood to imbue the audience with the feelings of the characters.
Choir Girl is his first feature film as a director.
Ivan found film with a little serendipity back in 2007 and has never looked back. He is an award-winning producer, director and editor, his films ranging from the dark and poignant to the raw and riotous.
He is the Founder and Director of the Made In Melbourne Film Festival, now in its eighth year as the only festival exclusively for Victorian filmmakers.
In 2014 Ivan was added to the Master List of Independent Filmmakers compiled by veteran indie movie-maker Bill Mousoulis, and also selected for the 'Top 50 Australian Independent Film Heroes' list.
In addition to MIM, Ivan runs Nexus Production Group, a prolific film production collective driven by creativity, originality, and passion.
Lucinda Bruce is an emerging Film Producer from Melbourne, Australia with a background in Acting, Production and Broadcast. She has produced Web Series, shorts and features of which one, "FSM" (2015), made the festival rounds at Whistler, Vancouver Int'l Women in Film, Boomtown and Nice International Filmmaker's Festival and many more as well as being nominated for 2 Leo Awards - she is continually developing new concepts for the above formats including animated TV pilots.
She has projects in the works in Vancouver, LA and Melbourne including a feature length documentary, feature films, TV Series and short films. Past projects include festival selection & Leo Nominated feature film "FSM" (Indiecan10k Challenge), shorts "A Family of Ghosts" (Crazy8's) and Leo Nominated short "The Starlight Heist".
Daniela is a film industry gipsy and travels to follow her dream; to be a Film Producer. When she was 24, she moved from her hometown of Perugia in central Italy to Milan where she studied Entertainment Industry and worked in the newsroom for a talk show broadcast on Sky TV. She also worked on the marketing team for the Milano Film Festival and Sguardi Altrove Film Festival (female filmmaker awards), on several short films and produced a music video for Carosello Records which attained millions of views.
Three years ago she packed her stuff into a big 30kg bag and flew to Melbourne. There, she produced the short film Black to White with the technical support of SAE Institute as well as several music videos, and now she has joined the team of Choir Girl, keen to bring her international experience to the production and keep working towards her dream.
Mark is a Melbourne-based cinematographer, shooting both locally and overseas. With his background as a writer, story has always been the primary driver in his work, and since graduating from The University of Melbourne’s School of Creative Arts in 2008, that work has ranged from features to short films, music videos, documentaries and branded content for companies like Red Bull, Philadelphia, Masterchef and Kit Kat.
He made his feature film debut with the psychological thriller 'Aiden', and just wrapped principal photography on his fourth, the Bollywood picture 'Zia', starring Eric Roberts and shot exclusively in Northern India. Other recent projects include the gruelling true story ‘Ghost’, about the incredible life of the convict William Buckley; 'Half', the first film from the inaugural First Nations Script to Screen Initiative by the Made In Melbourne Film Festival, and a documentary about record-breaking Dutch sailor Laura Dekker. He is also a Full Member of the Australian Cinematographers Society.
Sarah fell into an Art Department role back in 2006 and has worked on numerous short films and music videos. Her feature film credits include the critically acclaimed Taj, Dace Decklan: Private Eye, Oddball and The Subjects by Instinct Entertainment.
Sarah takes on the full gamut of Art Department; building and dressing sets, painting backdrops, prop buying and mingling with like-minded creatives any chance she gets. In 2013 Sarah broadened her film-making horizons further; writing, producing and directing Dusk, her first short film. She has since gone on to write and direct Daughter, a short film and awareness project about gendered violence.
When she is not on set Sarah writes short stories and articles for The Huffington Post, dabbles in photography, and works as an artistic model.
Graduating from RMIT University with a degree in Interior Design, Fiona Deladande has been Freelancing for the last 4 years as Set and Costume Designer, Set Decorator and Prop Master for various theatres, film production companies and music festivals.
She completed two productions at WMTC her first being SHREK Jr The Musical earlier this year and City of Angels, where she assisted with both set construction and costumes.
She is excited to be taking on the challenging role of Production Designer on our feature film, Choir Girl.
Patrick has been working in the drama and documentary cutting rooms of Melbourne since 2006. In 2014 he was nominated for best editing in a short film (for Rabbit) at the Australian Screen Editors Guild Awards.
His credits include feature films Exit (2011), The Mule (additional editor, 2014), and international festival-favourite short films First Contact (2012) and The Disappearance of Willie Bingham (2015).
